The Liberec Region announced the start of construction as part of the “Ploučnice Green Cycle Route: Noviny pod Ralskem–Srní Potok” project. The construction site was handed over on June 8, 2026, and construction itself began on July 6, 2026. The deadline for completing the construction work and for the handover and acceptance of the project is no later than 240 days from the handover and acceptance of the construction site. The Liberec Region is the project’s investor. 

We expect that cyclists will be able to ride along the new section of the bike path along the Ploučnice River as early as next season. The project involves the construction of a trail for pedestrians and cyclists and the reconstruction of the existing local road, with a total length of 3.7 km. The basic width of the path is planned to be 2.75 m, with local narrowings to 2.50 m. You can find the future route on the map below.

The project is co-financed by the Integrated Regional Operational Program (IROP). The contractor for the project is SaM silnice a mosty a.s., with its registered office at Máchova 1129/6, 470 01 Česká Lípa, Company ID No.: 25018094.
